Ed update

We had our second appointment at Shriner' s today for Ed. He had many more x-rays taken and we met with his specialist. There are three good news items to report: 1. His MRI from last week was normal. We are grateful that for once the news came back "normal." 2. His x-rays showed his anomalies have not gotten worse. 3. From the views taken today, his specialist seems to think the main source his head tilt are right at the top of his thoracic spine (where his head sits on his shoulders). This is good news because he feels that if surgery is necessary down the road, it will be easier to fix this area of his spine rather than in his neck. He also said that his body is compensating well to keep his spine straight. If we start fixing any of this it won't be until he is about 5, maybe. For now we just monitor his growth. We go back to Shriner's in 9 months.
