Ed is such polite little guy. It blows me away at how appreciative he can be. He always says "thanks", "thank you" or my fav, "thanks, mom," even at unexpected times, like when I am cleaning poopies from his bum bum. This attribute of his has been noticed by many and it gives his mommy a little warm rush to her heart and grin on her face. He loves to talk with people and will say "hello" to to anyone and everyone. Often, it's not just one "hello" but hello after hello after hello, to the same person. Some strangers think this is funny, but others get quickly tired of saying hello back. We have been trying to teach him to say hello just once. He has adapted his habit to saying now, "Hello. Hello, again. Hello, again." He's just an overly friendly guy. Using the words of a good friend (some of you will get this), "I'll take it!! (said with a german accent)." It's better to be friendly than to not.

yes, it is. i love a polite child. i really need to meet your kids!
i'm torn between trying to break ally of the habit of yelling, "DON'T SEE ME!" to strangers, or "PUT ME DOWN!" when she doesn't want to be held...and letting her just instinctively distrust people. i like to think that if anyone dangerous ever approached her, she'd make them think twice. ;-)
